Applications

Addensante 1022 is a polyurethane thickener developed to get  in  application  a  good  balance  between  thickening, levelling and gloss; these properties are difficult to achieve at the same time using the typical cellulose ethers.  
With respect to acrylic thickeners, Addensante 1022 gives the  system  a  much  stronger  and  less  shear  sensitive associative  structure.  At  the  same  time,  the  thickening power is strongly dependent by the nature and size of latex particles, chemical nature of the surfactants and co-solvents in the formulation. 

Addensante 1022, is specifically suitable for glossy water thinnable  enamel  paints,  lacquers,  etc.  where,  in combination  with  traditional  natural  or  polyacrylic thickeners,  gives  the  system  better  flow-ability,  levelling and antispattering.
